A Terrine Like a Work of Art

Our signature vegetable terrine is a seasonal masterpiece—carefully crafted each morning using fresh organic vegetables. It’s a dish that captures the colors and rhythms of nature on a single plate.
Each following course continues this delicate harmony of flavors, bringing out the essence of every ingredient. Naturally, each dish pairs beautifully with wine.

We house a dedicated wine cellar with a rotating selection of over 800 bottles of wine and champagne.
Our chef, a certified sommelier, will carefully select the perfect bottle to enhance your experience.

LUNCH

Experience creative French cuisine in a traditional Kyoto machiya located in Shinnyodomaecho.
Enjoy a lunch course featuring seasonal organic vegetables, perfect for a casual moment or a special day.

DINNER

Savor creative French cuisine in a Kyoto machiya as night falls and lights glow.
Enjoy a variety of courses and selected wines for an unforgettable evening of conversation and flavor.

WINE

We offer over 800 bottles of wine, mainly from France. Our chef, a certified sommelier, will gladly recommend the perfect wine to complement your meal.

DRINK

In addition to our wines, we offer a diverse selection of over 30 types of after-dinner liqueurs, whiskies, and fruit wines. Please enjoy them according to your mood and preference.

Our fully private detached room, located at the back of the garden, offers a quiet space perfect for family gatherings such as formal meetings between families, baby’s first meal celebrations, and 60th birthday parties. It accommodates up to 14 guests and is comfortable for families with children and elderly guests.

In the main house, we also offer counter and table seating. Enjoy a refined time with courses featuring seasonal organic vegetables paired with carefully selected wines.

Located just an 8-minute walk from Demachiyanagi Station and 11 minutes from Imadegawa Station, our restaurant offers a convenient location.
Business Hours:
Lunch 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Last Order 1:30 PM)
During some seasons, lunch is served in two seating times: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Dinner 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Last Order 8:00 PM)
Closed on Wednesdays

Join Our Team at epice

We’re always looking for passionate individuals to join our team at epice—whether as full-time staff or part-time crew. No experience necessary. If you have an interest in French cuisine or wine, we’d love to hear from you!

Full-time Positions:
We’re hiring chefs, pâtissiers, servers, and sommeliers—ranging from trainees to head chefs and managers.
Salary: ¥250,000 – ¥500,000 per month (based on experience and role).

Part-time Positions:
Work from just one day a week! Flexible shifts available for lunch and dinner.
Hourly Wage: From ¥1,100 (25% increase after 10 PM).
